The Umbellata is of African origin but has popularity in Japanese culture as a houseplant. This newcomer has some similar features to the Fiddle Leaf Fig, with large, heart-shaped leaves and thin stems.
Sunlight: Provide it with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. Just be sure to keep it out of harsh, direct sunlight as prolonged periods of direct light can burn the plant’s leaves.
Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Recommends slow-release nitrocote or organic lactobacillus Aquis fertilizer.
