The Symphyotrichum oolentangiense, formerly known as Aster azureus, is an eye-catching American aster with a unique upright growth habit. Its dense basal foliage and branching stems with cone-shaped clusters of delicate, daisy-like flowers can be enjoyed all season, with shades of blue ranging from deep to pale and even hinting of purple.
