TIPS

Soil for Echinocactus grusonii

Use a cactus potting soil mix or combine a regular potting mixture of soil with sand. Make or buy a cactus & succulent pre-mix that include sand, perlite, expanded clay and other ingredients. A suitable soil for succulent plants needs to provide good drainage (not be water logged), hold moisture, and give roots room to grow.

Light Requirements

All plants depend on light for their survival, thus making sure your Echinocactus grusonii get the right amount of light is key to keeping them happy. In a container pot, group your succulent plants with other plants of similar light requirements. Don't mix shade lovers with sun lovers in a single pot; one or both of them will be unhappy, depending on where you place the pot.
