Pouteria caimito, Star Apple is a fruit tree and requires full sun. It prefers moist or wet soil When cut in half, the inside resembles a star. The skin of a star apple is not edible but the pulp around the seeds is the part you eat and tastes sweet and refreshing.

Water: Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not overly wet. Wet soil may lead to root rot.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
