Portulaca grandiflora is commonly known as the Japanese Rose because of its rose-like flowers. The flowers only open in bright sunlight, and do not open under overcast skies or at night. They are borne on the terminal ends of the stems. The blooms will last about 3 days, but are quickly succeeded by new flowers.

Fertiliser: Recommends slow-release nitricote or organic Aquis lactobacilius
