Livistona chinensis, Chinese Fan Palm, Fountain Palm (0.7m)


Livistona chinensis, the Chinese fan palm or fountain palm, is a species of subtropical palm tree of east Asia. It is native to southern Japan, Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, southeastern China and Hainan. This palm is slowly growing to a height of 30 feet. It is both harvested from the wild and also cultivated for its leaves, which are widely used to make fans in China, as well as being used to make hats, brooms, raincoats.The plant is also widely grown as an ornamental in the tropics and subtropics.


Sunlight: Semi-Shade, Full Sun

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
