Gymnocalycium denudatum is a small, usually unbranched cactus. It has a globular, glossy dark green stem, rounded ribs, and spines fattened against the body in the shape of little white or pale rose spiders. The stem grows up (10cm) tall and up to (15cm) in diameter. The flowers are in creamy-pink, up to 3 inches (7.5cm) in diameter, and appear in spring and summer.

Water: Water when the soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
