Cactus grafted, Purple (0.08m)
Almost all cacti are part of succulents. They have thickened, fleshy stems adapted to store water and carry out photosynthesis. Most species of cacti have only spines, which are highly modified leaves that help prevent water loss by reducing air flow close to the cactus and providing some shade.
A grafted cactus refers to a cactus plant that has a brightly coloured mutant variation of cactus sitting on top of a standard (rootstock) cactus plant. As the brightly coloured mutant variation of cactus cannot photosynthesize, they depend on the cactus plant they are grafted onto to photosynthesize and provide enough nutrients for both to survive.
Grafted cactus likes warmth and partial sunlight, so a window sill is a perfect location to grow yours.
Sunlight: Partial sunlight.
Water: Water them sparingly, only when the soil is dry. Water the media thoroughly and then let it drain. Do not water daily, and do not wet the plant (do not spray).
Fertiliser: Keep the plant in good health by applying slow release fertilizer or diluted liquid fertilizer about once a month.
Plant size: approx. 6cm – 11cm (vary in sizes)
Rootball size: 5.5cmØ x 5cmH
Pot type: Plant comes in brown landscape pot (with drainage hole)

Soil for Cacti
Cacti should be grown in cactus & succulent soil mix. Make or buy a cactus & succulent pre-mix that include sand, perlite, expanded clay and other ingredients. A suitable soil for cacti needs to provide good drainage (not be water logged), hold moisture, and give roots room to grow.
All plants depend on light for their survival, thus making sure your cacti get the right amount of light is key to keeping them happy. In a container pot, group your cacti with other plants of similar light requirements. Don't mix shade lovers with sun lovers in a single pot; one or both of them will be unhappy, depending on where you place the pot.
