A great beginner plant, Schefflera arboricola or dwarf umbrella tree has oval leaves that grow from a single stem, making it look like an umbrella. It does best in a partial sun spot and it is fuss-free and low maintenance. This dwarf umbrella tree is grown in a kokedama, a ‘living pot’ of rich, well-draining soil that is then covered in a coconut husk.
