Excoecaria cochinchinensis is a plant with a woody stem, growing up to 1–2 meters high. Its leaves have interesting textures, shiny and papery, the upper surface is dark green or variegated, and the underside a deep maroon.

Water: Water when the soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or solid fertiliser over the soil.
