The Tillandsia fasciculata has elongated leaves that are a pale green color combined with silver, but the silver color is much more visible in this species compared to most. The leaves are straight, upright, and close to one another, they are also more or less uniform in length. But, over time as the inflorescence slowly starts to emerge from the plant’s center, the leaves will start to spread out and slightly droop downward at the ends, creating a large space in the middle for the said inflorescence. The inflorescence is very tall and large, the bracts are wide and can either be a vibrant red color or it can be red at the bottom and green towards the tip. The flowers that bloom from the bracts are tubular shaped and are the color purple. This tropical themed piece is perfect for those who are looking for something vibrant and festive.
