T. caput-medusae is famous for its snake-like leaves that twirl and extend outwards randomly like the hair of Medusa in the Greek mythology. Its leaves are succulent and covered with trichomes giving it a velvety touch. Some of the leaves might blush with dark purple under ideal condition.
