The common name “Feather Celosia” is used as the flower looks like the tail of a Phoenix. It is a traditional favourite for the Chinese New Year season and used as ornamental plants displays.
Symbolism:
凤尾 Fèng wěi, means phoenix tail.
In Chinese culture, 凤凰 Fènghuáng, phoenix is the mythological creature of high virtue and grace. It also carries the belief of bringing harmony and prosperity to the family.

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
