Gynura aurantiaca, called purple passion or velvet plant, is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. Its leaves are green, ovate to elliptic with toothed margins and their leaf surfaces are covered with bright purple hairs. It is native to Southeast Asia but grown in many other places as a house plant.

Sunlight: Bright indirect sunlight

Water: Water with sufficient amount to allow water to drain out from the below of the pot, then allow top 1 inch of soil to dry out before watering again.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
